Poster Unveiling for the 33rd Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition

The Strategic Council of Iran Handmade Carpet held a meeting on August 10, 2026 (19 Mordad), chaired by Yahya Al-Eshaq, Head of the Council, at the National Carpet Center of Iran.

The session, attended by Mohammad Mehdi Farshchi Movahed, Head of the National Carpet Center of Iran, heads of guilds, and a number of activists and artists in the field, included a thorough review of proposals and discussions on the execution process of the exhibition. During the meeting, the official poster of the 33rd Iran International Handmade Carpet Exhibition was unveiled.

Emphasis on Hosting an Exhibition Worthy of This National Art

Participants in the meeting emphasized the need for maximum participation of handmade carpet art-industry activists and called for organizing a cohesive event befitting the high status of this national art-industry on the international stage.

Special Facilities and Extended Payment Deadline for Exhibitors

In another part of the session and in support of industry activists, it was decided that, following continuous efforts by the National Carpet Center and approval by the Board of Directors of the International Exhibitions Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the following facilities would be implemented:

Special discounts for "raw land" (unequipped booth spaces)

Extension of the payment deadline for the full amount for applicants who have not paid 50% of their booth fees by the original deadline, until August 18, 2026 (28 Mordad)

Obtaining a commitment from the International Exhibitions Company of I.R. Iran regarding extending the daily operating hours of the exhibition to maximize efficiency and better accommodate visitors

These measures are seen as steps toward facilitating a more robust presence of handmade carpet producers and exporters at this major international event.
