The 33rd Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition Date Announced

The first meeting of the steering committee for the 33rd Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition was held on Saturday, July 24, chaired by Mohammad Mehdi Farshchi‑Movahed, Head of the Iran National Carpet Center, and attended by the Deputy for Exhibition Affairs of the International Exhibitions Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran, representatives of unions, professional associations, and stakeholders in the handmade carpet art‑industry.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Iran National Carpet Center, the session addressed topics such as reviewing the process of the previous edition, the timing of the event, issuing the call for participation, registration of exhibitors, promotional campaigns, booth layout, and measures to enhance the overall quality of the exhibition.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the dates for the 33rd Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition were set for September 8–12, 2025.

Mohammad Mehdi Farshchi‑Movahed, Head of the Iran National Carpet Center, emphasised the importance of the event, stating: “The Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition is a symbol of the identity and prestige of Persian carpets, and its organisation must be worthy of this national art‑industry.”

The Deputy for Exhibition Affairs of the International Exhibitions Company also stressed the importance of drawing on lessons from previous editions, addressing operational challenges, and announcing the exhibition’s schedule in a timely manner.

Representatives of unions and professional associations called for consistency in timing, strengthened communication and promotion, expanded side programmes, and better conditions for more effective participation of industry players.

The 33rd Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition is the most significant specialised event in this field, playing a vital role in showcasing the capabilities of producers, developing the market, boosting exports, and displaying the potential of authentic Persian carpets.
